In this activity, you will use your word processing skills to edit a report on tornadoes.
- Open the Tornadoes document by clicking on the icon.

- Add the title Tornadoes to the beginning of the report.
- Select the title and then change the font size to 36 and center-align the title. You also need to format it bold and italic. Change the font to Arial.
- Insert a clip art image of a tornado after the title. Use the keyword, tornado or funnel clouds, for your search.
- The following paragraph is missing from this report. Type the following paragraph into the report. It should be the third paragraph.
A lot of tornadoes in the northern hemisphere spin counter-clockwise. But, in the southern hemisphere - for instance, Australia - the opposite is true.
- Change the color of the following words in the document: dangerous, powerful, August, and puffy.
- Check the spelling in the document. Fix any spelling errors.
- Use the thesaurus to replace a word of your choice with a synonym.
- Type your name at the end of the report.
- Format your name with a fancy font, and use any combination of bold, italics, underline and color.
- Insert a second piece of clip art at the bottom of the document. You can search on any keyword.
- Save the document using a new file name to your floppy disk or wherever your teacher instructs you. Print the document and then close the program.
