Water, Water, Everywhere! Close Button

In this activity you are going to use your paint/draw tools to illustrate the water cycle. If you need hints about the water cycle, ask your teacher if you can look at Internet sites to get ideas. Some good sites are:

  1. There are 4 parts to a water cycle:
Condensation - happens when clouds start to form. Examples of condensation: clouds, dew, steam

Precipitation - is when rain falls from the clouds. Examples of precipitation: rain, snow, sleet (ice pellets), and hail (large frozen rain drops)

Accumulation - means that water accumulates or makes puddles. Examples of accumulation: puddles, lakes, rivers, oceans

Evaporation - happens when the sun dries up the puddle and the water turns into water vapor.

  2. Your drawing needs to include all 4 parts of the water cycle.

  3. Use the Text tool to label each part of the water cycle, including the title, The Water Cycle.

  4. Use the Text tool to put your name on the drawing.

  5. Use the Line tool or the Brush tool to draw the arrows showing the cycle.

  6. Use the color tools to add color to your drawing and don't forget about the Eraser tool if you make a mistake.

  7. If you want to start over you can click Image on the menu bar and then click Clear Image.

  8. Save your drawing to your floppy disk with a file name you can remember.

  9. Print your drawing.
